Diary of a Bittersweet Heroine

Debugging to Dialogue

Welcome to my little corner of the internet! If you’re here, you’re probably curious about who I am, what I do, and why I wear so many hats (figuratively and, on occasion, literally). Buckle up because my journey as a web developer has been anything but ordinary.

I’m Ada, a web developer by day, a performer by night, and an educator somewhere in between. I build sleek, user-friendly websites with the same enthusiasm I bring to a performance, whether delivering a speech, acting, or stepping into the world of burlesque (but that’s a story for another time). My work lives at the intersection of logic and creativity, blending structured problem-solving with the magic of human connection and a sprinkle of code.

My background is as colorful as the code I create. I grew up in small-town Iowa, cut my teeth on Dungeons & Dragons (thanks to my older brother), and discovered early on that storytelling is at the heart of everything I love—whether crafting a compelling narrative on a website, commanding a room during a presentation, or bringing a character to life in front of an audience. I’ma Gen X kid, so my childhood was spent drinking water from the hose, riding my bike in flip-flops and no helmet, and coming home when Mom flashed the porch light twice.

After spending years in traditional developer roles, I decided to break free from the rigid confines of corporate life. I am Relaunching my portfolio, stepping into freelance web development, and embracing exciting and challenging performance opportunities. If there’s a theme to my work, it is this: technology and storytelling are separate worlds—they are sides of the same coin.

So, if you’re looking for someone who can create an unforgettable digital experience, deliver a speech that holds your attention, or bring a bit of theatrical flair to the everyday, let’s talk. I’m always up for new collaborations, interesting projects, and adventures that blur the line between tech and performance.

Let’s make something great together!
